Louie

Louie is a sweetheart with a heart full of love to give! He's spent the last year in foster care with his three brothers, learning and growing. He's a handsome mix of Black Labrador Retriever and Great Dane, and at just over a year old, he's ready to find his forever family. Louie was rescued from a rural shelter as a young pup and has blossomed into a gentle giant. He's a large boy, so he might accidentally knock over very small children, but he's generally great with kids and other dogs.

Ideal Home

Louie would do best in a home that can provide him with a patient and understanding approach as he settles in. He needs a slow introduction to his new environment and family to help him feel secure. He would not be a good fit for a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Louie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Louie is still learning to open up and explore, so a patient adopter is key. He's a large dog, so gentle guidance will help him navigate his space and interactions.
