Kai

Kai is an amazing 4-5 month old puppy who came to us from a county in the coalfields of WVa that doesn't have an animal shelter. He has been raised in a loving foster home where he's been exposed to many other dogs and has worked on house training using a doggie door. In new situations, Kai can be stand-offish and observant, but at home, he is calm, gentle, and responsive. He is loyal, loving, and eager to trust a family who will speak to him and protect him. His sensitive and intuitive nature means he needs a family who will see his beauty and love him forever! A DNA test on one of his littermates revealed Kai is a mixed breed, mostly pit bull and shepherd, but he's 100% wonderful and sure to add love and light to the family that chooses him!

Ongoing Health

Kai is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and treatments, including testing for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, microchipping, and deworming.

Training & Support

Kai has been introduced to house training using a doggie door and has been exposed to other dogs. He may be stand-offish in new situations and will benefit from a patient and loving family who can help him build trust and confidence.

• Our adoption fee is $300 for puppies under 6 months old.
• All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites.
