Ember Honey is believed to be a German Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years old and weighing 47 lbs. As with any rescue, breed and age are mysteries we can't always solve, but we can guarantee she's full of love!
Ideal Home
Ember Honey is dog-friendly and has done well with the dogs she has met. She's more of a relaxed "hang out and enjoy the sunshine" kind of girl rather than a high-energy playmate. She enjoys exploring the yard and being in the presence of other dogs. When meeting new canine friends, Ember prefers a gentle introduction and a little time to get comfortable. Once she feels at ease, she's happy to share space and enjoy calm companionship. In a home, Ember would likely do best with another easygoing dog who has a similarly relaxed personality. However, she also absolutely loves people and would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only little princess!
Ember is adaptable and could thrive in a home with a backyard or in an apartment or condo with regular walks and quality time. She's not high-maintenance – a nice walk, some fresh air, and plenty of snuggles will make her perfectly content. We can easily picture Ember relaxing beside you on the porch during warm evenings.
We have not yet seen Ember interact with young children, but we are happy to test this for you. Based on her incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving personality, we believe she has the potential to be a wonderful family dog.

Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pickup is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
