Aranza

Aranza is a beautiful 4-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 14 lbs, and she is ready to find the loving family she has always deserved. She was rescued in November 2023 in Matamoros, Mexico, after being found wandering the streets alone. At the time of her rescue, she was thin and suffering from scabies, but thanks to proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and lots of love in her foster home, Aranza has made a wonderful recovery. Today, Aranza is a happy, healthy, and affectionate little girl with a gentle and loving personality. She is docile, playful, and very sweet, and she absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle with her people. She forms strong bonds and enjoys being close to those she loves. Aranza is also great with children and friendly with other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to many types of families. She enjoys going on walks, exploring the world around her, and riding calmly in the car. After everything she has been through, Aranza deserves a family that will give her the safety, love, and stability she never had before. In return, she will fill your home with loyalty, affection, and companionship.

Ideal Home

A home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families with a real intention to rescue a dog, an open conscience about street animals, experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer is preferred. High tolerance and patience are crucial for this rescued dog.

Ongoing Health

Aranza has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Aranza is not house-trained. It's essential to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial to build trust and strengthen the bond with your new companion. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• You will need to fill out an adoption form and send photos/videos of your home.
• If it's a match, we'll arrange a call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, food, and more.

Transporation

Aranza is currently fostered in Matamoros, Mexico. She is ready to travel to her forever home via our door-to-door delivery service, which includes scheduled trips with a partnered transport company. A transport fee of $400 USD applies.
