Meet Ernie!

If you've ever wished your favorite stuffed animal could magically come to life, then Ernie is the dog for you! This ridiculously handsome chocolate Lab/Staffy mix is a big, strong hunk of a dog with the sweetest, squishiest personality. He has a happy pittie smile, soulful amber eyes, adorable forehead wrinkles, and enough charm to keep you smiling every day. Ernie is a truly wonderful dog who is fully potty trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on leash, knows "sit," and has fantastic house manners. He's been living harmoniously with two other large dogs in his foster home, proving what an amazing companion he is.

Ideal Home

Ernie would do best in a home without cats, as they tend to be a bit too exciting for him. He is wonderful with children and enjoys being included in family activities, like relaxing on the patio.

Ongoing Health

Ernie's adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Ernie is a well-mannered boy who is already potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He's also a quick learner and knows "sit." He has a great "off-switch," transitioning from playful pup to snuggly couch companion with ease.

Ernie is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, which ensures safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. There are drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. You can track his journey in real-time and receive photo updates.
