Louie

Louie is a two-year-old, male mix who is looking for his forever home. He's a curious, cautious, affectionate, friendly, and active boy. Previously fearful of new things, Louie is now more open but will always benefit from an owner who can be his advocate in unfamiliar situations. He enjoys playing with larger dogs and is generally submissive, but sometimes needs a little help to take a break when he's feeling uncomfortable.

Ideal Home

Louie loves cats and would enjoy having one as a playmate, though a cat who can set firm boundaries would be ideal. He has a prey drive towards smaller animals, so a home with free-roaming small pets is not recommended without proper supervision, training, and management. Louie is an active dog and can climb and jump well.

Ongoing Health

Louie is vaccinated.

Training & Support

Louie has received prior training for general manners and behavioral issues. He will need ongoing support and advocacy from his owners in new or unfamiliar situations.
