SOMI

Somi is a 2-year-old, 33lb female Formosan Mountain Dog mix with a beautiful white coat. She's a sweet and gentle girl with a lot of love to give! Somi had a rough start in life, being found abandoned in the mountains with her siblings. Thankfully, a kind volunteer rescued her and her littermates, and they were brought to safety. Despite her past, Somi has a wonderful temperament and is great with people, children of all ages, and dogs of all sizes. She's also good with cats! While she can be a little shy with new people initially, there is not a mean bone in her body. Somi is doing very well in her foster home and is ready to find her forever family. She's making great progress with leash training, is crate-trained, and is doing well with housetraining. Somi also rides well in the car and is patient during errands.

Ongoing Health

Somi has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative on blood tests. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations, rabies shot, and deworming, and receives monthly heartworm preventative. She was given Bravecto on 07/01/2026.

Training & Support

Somi is learning at a good pace with leash training, is crate-trained, and is doing well on her housetraining. She is a little shy with new people and men but has no food aggression with people or dogs.
