Meet Skip, a handsome and playful 4-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix who weighs 25 pounds. He's microchipped, up-to-date on his shots, and ready to find his forever family! Skip's story is a heartwarming one; he was found with his brothers huddled under some brush after being abandoned, but thankfully, a kind couple rescued him and brought him to safety.
Skip is a sweet, loving, and loyal puppy who absolutely adores water! You'll often find him happily splashing in his pool, snorkeling for leaves, or enjoying a good mud bath. While his coat is short and wavy, he has dew claws and longer legs, leading us to believe he might have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in his lineage. He's also working on his house training, walks well on a harness, is crate trained, and rides calmly in the car, making him a wonderful travel companion. Skip is a social butterfly who loves to chase balls and wrestle with his brother. Given his age and adaptable nature, he would likely do well in a home with a cat.
Ideal Home
Skip would thrive in an active home that enjoys taking their dog on outings. He's a simple, sweet, and funny puppy who just wants to be a part of a family and share in their adventures.
Ongoing Health
Skip will be adopted with a neuter contract. The adopter will be responsible for the cost of his neuter when he reaches the appropriate age, as determined by a veterinarian. Proof of neutering will be required.
Training & Support
Skip is making great progress with his house training and crate training. He's also learning to walk well on a harness. He enjoys playing and wrestling, and is working on commands like "sit."
