Tempest

Tempest is a sweet 1-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who is learning to trust again. She arrived at the rescue a bit scared and confused due to a stressful past situation, but with patience and love, she's really starting to blossom! Once she gets to know you, Tempest is all about happy greetings, cuddles, and lots of kisses. She can be a little vocal with new people as she warms up, but it's just her way of asking for a little time to feel safe. She might need a few meet-and-greets to feel completely comfortable. Tempest loves to run and play outside, especially with her sister, Atari. She does tend to resource guard her favorite people from other dogs, so a home that understands and can help her with boundaries would be ideal. We don't currently know how she would do with cats or children. Tempest is a clean girl in her kennel and walks nicely on a leash. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will give you all her love once she trusts you, Tempest is patiently waiting for her forever home! She just needs someone understanding to help her continue her journey to feeling secure and loved.

Ideal Home

Tempest would do best in a home that understands her need for boundaries, as she resource guards her favorite people from other dogs. We don't currently know her compatibility with cats or children.

Tempest is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Tempest can be vocal with new people and may require a few meet-and-greets to feel comfortable. She is working on learning to trust and needs a patient, understanding owner. She keeps her kennel clean and walks well on a leash.
