Hi there! My name is Bandit, and I'm a super special 71-pound German Shepherd with a dash of Husky flair. I was born on July 21, 2025, and I'm already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations and preventions. My foster parents even did DNA tests – my mom is 100% German Shepherd, and my dad is an 81% German Shepherd and 19% Husky mix, which explains my unique looks!
I'm a bundle of energy and excitement, just like most young shepherds. I absolutely love playtime and being outdoors. You can find me chasing balls, happily chewing on bones, and playing with my siblings. My best pal is a Great Dane, so I can definitely keep up with the big dogs! When it comes to toys, especially stuffed ones, I'm a master de-stuff-er – I love making it look like it's snowing, even in South Texas!
When it comes to people, I'm a total sweetheart. I live for snuggles with my foster parents and will shower you with kisses. If you scratch my chest or belly, I'll melt right into your lap. I'm also great with the foster grandkids, who are 4 and 8 years old. Sometimes I get a little overexcited and might accidentally knock the little ones over, but I always make up for it with lots of kisses!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for an active family who enjoys playtime and adventures outdoors. I'm not quite sure how I'd do with a friendly feline, as the outdoor cat I know prefers to keep her distance.
Ongoing Health
I'm spayed, microchipped, and current on all my vaccines and preventions. I was a perfect patient when I had my procedures and took all my medicine like a champ, especially when it was hidden in tasty wet food!
Training & Support
I'm house-trained and know how to use a doggy door. I'm still working on crate training, but my foster family is dedicated to helping me. They're also helping me with leash training and getting more comfortable meeting new people. I can be a little reserved at first, but with patience, encouragement, and a few treats, I warm up quickly!
