Oh... Richard.

Where do we even begin with this guy? Richard is the definition of "so close, yet so far." At the shelter, he's an angel and an absolute star citizen. He's goofy, playful, loves his walks, soaks up attention, and acts like the perfect dog. People meet him and go, "Yep. That's the one." And then he goes home and reveals his true form. Richard gets excited-like, REALLY excited-and sometimes forgets that humans are not, in fact, fellow wrestlers. He can get mouthy (play biting/nipping) when he's amped up. He's not aggressive or mean, just a big, goofy dude who never got the memo on personal space. He's basically that friend who means well but takes things just a little too far.

Ideal Home

Richard would prefer to be your one and only-no other pets, please. He can also get a little "this is MY person" with adults, so he'll need someone confident who can help him share the spotlight. He needs someone who won't fall for his "perfect boy" act and then be shocked, someone who can set boundaries and stick to them, and someone with a sense of humor.

Richard is house-trained.

Training & Support

Richard can get mouthy (play biting/nipping) when he's amped up. He needs someone who sees his potential and says "yeah... I can work with that."
