Hello there! My name is Rose Lavelle, and I'm named after a fantastic National Women's Soccer League player! I've got some of her same qualities too – I'm super creative with my toys and have a knack for surprising everyone, including the resident dog I live with. I absolutely love playing with balls and tug toys. I'm working on my leash manners, and I tend to walk very close to my person, so you'll need to watch your step! Potty training is coming along, and I'm even learning to ring the bells on the door to let you know when I need to go out. I sleep pretty well in my crate at night, especially if it's covered with a blanket, though I might need a quick trip outside in the middle of the night since I'm still a baby. I'm also a brave girl and stay in my crate when my foster mom leaves, because she says it's for my own good.
I'm currently living with my foster mom, a dog named Mr. Ted, and a rabbit. I also have tons of fun playing with my foster mom's grandkids! She does say I can't be left unsupervised with them because they're quite young and might not know the best way to play with me. My foster mom is teaching me so many new things, like walking on a leash, going potty outside, and sitting for attention. I'm a quick learner and love exploring new experiences, like walking on different surfaces, going through tunnels, and even playing the piano! I'm a very special girl because I'm deaf, but honestly, it's not a big deal at all! Most dogs learn best through body language, and I respond really well to hand signals once I'm looking at you. My foster mom often just gently touches my backside to get my attention, and if I'm too far away, a tap on the floor gets me running right to her. I have so much love to give – won't you let me share it with you forever?
