About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Dahlia is a 10-month-old, 35-pound "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as delicate and beautiful as her namesake flower. She's a sweet and energetic pup who loves adventures, snuggling, and making friends. Dahlia is crate and house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash (unless squirrels are involved!), and is a fantastic copilot in the car. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely do well with respectful children 8 and older. Dahlia's love of exploring means she'd be a great camping companion, and she's happy to snooze by your side while you work.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, including at least two walks a day. She would be happiest with another playful dog or opportunities for regular doggy daycare. While she can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, potential adopters should be aware that she may cry in her crate initially when left alone, which could be a consideration for homes with shared walls. Dahlia has not been tested with cats but can be cat-tested if needed.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also had a heartworm test and received treatment if needed.

Training & Support

Dahlia is crate and house-trained. She may cry in her crate when initially left alone, though she does settle. This will need to be re-established in her new home. She enjoys playing with pine cones and carrying sticks. When interacting with smaller dogs, they should be able to assert their boundaries and provide proper corrections.
