Meet Otis! This handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is a resilient and joyful soul just waiting for his happily-ever-after. Otis was returned to a shelter due to a severe skin condition, but thanks to his foster's dedication, he's now thriving with a shiny, healthy coat and an even shinier outlook on life! He's a sweet, goofy guy who adores people and isn't shy about letting you know when he needs more pets. Otis is wonderfully attentive to positive reinforcement and truly aims to please. He's also a social butterfly with other dogs, playing nicely and respecting their space, and would likely enjoy a canine sibling in his new home. Otis has a great balance of energy, enjoying playtime but also loving to snuggle on the couch. He walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, and even tolerates bath time like the gentleman he is. He's fully house-trained, potty-trained, and crate-trained, settling well in his crate, especially with a treat. Otis has shown no signs of separation anxiety, destruction, food aggression, or resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Otis would do best in a moderately active home that appreciates both playtime and snuggle sessions. Due to his size and enthusiastic jumping, he would likely be a good fit for dog-savvy older children. We are unsure how he would do with cats, as he has not been exposed to them.

Otis has recovered from a severe skin condition and is now thriving with a healthy coat. He is neutered and fully vaccinated.
