Milky is a sweet, observant, and affectionate 1-year-old neutered male dog weighing 26.5 lbs. He was rescued from an overcrowded municipal shelter in Gyeongsan, South Korea, where he was at risk of euthanasia. Since joining his foster family in late May 2026, Milky has blossomed, gaining confidence daily. He is a moderate energy dog who enjoys long, sniffy walks and exploring grassy areas. Once he trusts you, Milky becomes incredibly devoted, following his person from room to room, gently seeking pets, and greeting you with a happy wag. He's described as an "angel" by his foster family – adaptable, eager to learn, easygoing, and a constant source of joy.
Ideal Home
Milky would thrive in a home that enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures, ideally with access to parks, trails, or a securely fenced yard. He would likely do well with another friendly dog, as he enjoys canine companionship. However, he would also be happy as an only dog in a family committed to providing him with regular exercise, companionship, and ongoing confidence-building. Milky needs a family willing to offer him a little patience as he initially warms up. He would do best with calm, respectful children who allow him to approach them at his own pace.
Ongoing Health
Milky is currently in excellent health with no known medical issues. He receives monthly chewable flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has a history of motion sickness during car rides, but this has greatly improved with vet-prescribed anti-nausea medication.
Training & Support
Milky walks politely on leash and is happy to give up discarded food when asked. He redirects easily if another dog barks at him. He is 100% outdoor potty trained and has not shown any destructive behavior. Milky dislikes baths and struggles with tooth brushing, but he cooperates well during grooming. Crate training has not yet been started.
