Toby

Toby is a sweet and submissive 3-year-old silver lab mix who weighs about 50 lbs. He's a smart boy who walks great on a leash, is house-trained and crate-trained, and knows basic commands. He was raised with a golden retriever but wasn't socialized with other dogs and can show fear aggression when they approach him. However, he seems to calm down and accept them after he's been around them for a while.

Ideal Home

Toby would thrive in a home with no other dogs, or with a very experienced owner who knows how to do slow introductions.

No ongoing health issues are noted.

Training & Support

Toby knows basic commands and listens well. He would benefit from continued socialization and slow introductions to new dogs if his future family chooses to go that route.

Toby is an Out Of Town listing and is located in South Mississippi. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport and travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY every 2-3 weeks. He can be transported to the city listed.
