Avery is an 8-year-old Boxer–Beagle blend who is truly one of a kind. This incredible girl is smart, sporty, active, sensitive, playful, mindful, outgoing, poised, and disciplined. She loves simplicity and thrives on love. Years of dedicated work have shaped her into the amazing companion she is today, and it shows. She’s delightfully puppy-like and highly motivated to please. Avery is easy and meant to be someone’s everything.
Ideal Home
A fenced yard is required for Avery. She would do wonderfully in an apartment, condo, or townhouse setting as long as she has her person and proper exercise. At heart, Avery is also a world-class couch potato. Blankets and pillows are her happy place, making her the absolute best snuggle and binge-watching buddy ever. Avery prefers her humans over a pack and truly shines with human interaction, bonding deeply with her person.
Ongoing Health
Avery is healthy and happy. All standard medical care, including vaccinations and testing, has been completed.
Training & Support
Avery is house- and crate-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and her recall is perfect. She enjoys training because it's fun! Training is an ongoing process and must be addressed daily, with new opportunities arising frequently that need attention and rewards. Continued training is a priority to set her up for success.

- The adoption application review can take up to 3 weeks.
- A minimum of two meet-and-greets is required before adoption.
- A home check must occur.
- Out-of-state adopters are welcome at their expense.
- We do NOT ship any adoptable pets.
- Adoption fees are due at the time of adoption.
- No exchanges or requests for money are required before adoption.
- No payment plans are available.
- For AHRS Former Adopters, no adoption fee is required; a donation of your choice is expected, encouraged, welcome, and appreciated.
- The minimum adoption donation fee is $285.
Transporation
Avery is currently located in Ohio and can be transported to your home within a reasonable distance.
