Meet Sugar! Sugar is a 3-year-old, spayed female who is quite possibly the easiest dog on the planet! She's a low-key girl who has never met a rule she didn't follow. At night, she curls up in bed with her people and stays put until morning. During the day, she's just as easygoing – left home alone, she simply hops on the couch for a nap, with no barking, chewing, or mischief of any kind. She's fully potty trained and even walks herself to the door when she needs to go out.
Sugar is happy to be a couch potato, but she still lights up for a good walk or a squeaky toy. Her foster takes her on multiple short strolls a day, and she's always thrilled to go, though she's not built for long hikes or runs – lounging is more her speed. Car rides are a breeze too; she settles right in and rides quietly.
Sugar gets along with everyone. She's friendly with strangers, plays well with the resident big dogs (when she feels like it, otherwise she's content with her toys), and is curious about the cats, giving an occasional half-hearted chase before losing interest. She's especially wonderful with kids ages 4 to 17, having spent plenty of time with them without a single issue. On leash, she's a dream – no pulling, no lunging, just a calm, polite walking companion. She knows "sit" and "come." When she gets excited, she does the tiniest, cutest hop, and she'll nudge your hand with her nose anytime she wants more pets. Sugar is independent enough to nap peacefully on her own but affectionate enough to follow you from room to room. She's gentle, easy, cuddly, and utterly drama-free.
Ideal Home
Sugar would do best in a home where she can lounge and enjoy her easygoing nature. She's good with kids, other dogs, and is curious about cats.
Ongoing Health
Sugar is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, and fecal tested. She is currently working on losing a few extra pounds.
Training & Support
Sugar is fully potty trained and knows "sit" and "come." She is a polite leash walker.
