Simba (aka Chet)

Simba, an adult male retriever and pit bull terrier mix, was the last of his litter to be rescued from a tough situation in East Texas. He arrived as if he had been waiting his whole life for a loving home, quickly adapting to family life and soaking up affection, routine, and comfort. Simba is an affectionate and trusting boy who bonds quickly and loves to be close to his people. He has a silly and funny spirit that brings a joyful energy to any room, and he's a smart pup who is eager to learn. He's already making great progress with basic obedience and housetraining.

Ideal Home

Simba would thrive in a home with another dog or two, especially those who enjoy companionship. Because he still finds being alone a little tough, a home where someone is around often, or where he has a canine buddy, will help him feel secure. He's happiest when he has someone to snuggle, whether human or furry. A family that understands his background and celebrates his progress will be perfect for him as he continues to learn, love, and blossom.
