About Sansa
Sansa is a charming and petite girl who appears to be a Chihuahua–Cocker Spaniel mix. Born on April 18, 2025, she's currently about 10 months old and weighs around 10 lbs. Sansa is a loving, happy, and playful pup who was surrendered by her previous family. She's ready to start her next chapter with a family to call her own. She's already doing her potty business in the yard and is crate trained. Sansa gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. While she might bark at strangers initially, it's just her way of being alert and protective; with a little patience and reassurance, she warms up beautifully. Sansa is affectionate, sweet, and loves to play, making her a perfect companion for an active family.
Ideal Home
Sansa would thrive in a home that provides consistent love and guidance to help her build confidence and feel secure. She needs a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Adopters should have a genuine intention to rescue a dog, be open to understanding the behaviors of street animals that may require protection and education, and have experience with or be willing to hire a trainer to work with this intelligent dog. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Sansa has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including:
- Spay/Neuter Certificate
- 2 DHPPI Vaccines
- Rabies Vaccine
- Bordetella Vaccine
- Deworming
- Microchip
- 4DX Test and Certificate
- Negative Heartworm Test Certificate
- Monthly Preventive Protection with Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks, and heartworm)
- Health Certificate
- Vaccines booklet
It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience due to past experiences.
Training & Support
Sansa is not house-trained. Adopters should be prepared for this and understand that the rescue is unable to house-train each pet due to the number of animals in foster care. Patience and understanding are crucial for helping Sansa adapt and build trust in her new environment.
