Koda - AVAILABLE TO FOSTER OR ADOPT

Koda is a 4-year-old Lab mix with a heart of gold and a love for toys, especially frisbee! He's a clever boy who will even bring the toy back and place it in your hand, a wonderful trait that avoids any potential tug-of-war issues. Koda is also a fantastic walking companion and incredibly cuddly.

Koda's journey has been a bit of a bumpy one. As a puppy, he received plenty of love but unfortunately lacked the structure and socialization needed for well-rounded behavior. This led to him being reactive towards other dogs, and a difficult situation where his life was almost ended. Thankfully, he was rescued and given a second chance! At Red Barn Rescue, he's been working on his leash manners and has made great progress.

Ideal Home

Koda would thrive in a home where he can be the only dog.

Ongoing Health

Koda was a bit overweight upon arrival but is now in a much healthier condition.

Training & Support

Koda can be reactive to other dogs, but with the use of a Gentle Leader head halter, volunteers have been able to walk him safely around other dogs. He also displayed some excited puppy-like behaviors, but has learned to play more respectfully.
