Roxy

Roxy is a sweet girl about 18 to 24 months old and weighs 50 lbs. She's vetted, spayed, and up-to-date on monthly flea and 12-month heartworm prevention. Her breed is a mystery, though she might be a Kelpie mix! Roxy was found living in the woods, emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. Initially withdrawn, she's blossomed into a playful pup who loves to "talk" to her humans. She's still learning the ropes of leash walking and potty training. Due to her past, Roxy can exhibit food aggression (she eats in her crate) and mild separation anxiety (she prefers company after a couple of hours in her crate).

Ideal Home

Roxy would thrive in a home with a large yard where she can run and play. She needs a patient and devoted parent who is committed to helping her overcome her past experiences and embrace a happy life.

Training & Support

Roxy is a work in progress when it comes to leash walking and potty training. She also experiences food aggression and mild separation anxiety, for which she eats in her crate and is seeking companionship after a few hours.

Transporation

Roxy is located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally. She can also be transported to the New England area, with adopters picking her up on a Saturday in PA, NY, or CT. Residents of other states may also adopt, provided they can meet our transporter along their route.
