Meet KitKat, a 3.5-year-old sweet girl who is a work in progress. KitKat has experienced a great deal of trauma in her past and is still learning that people can be kind, patient, and safe. While she isn't ready to find her forever home just yet, she's making amazing progress! She is potty trained and has started learning to walk on a leash and harness. When she feels comfortable, she seeks out attention and will come to her foster for reassurance and affection. She's even started approaching for leash attachment on her own sometimes, a huge step forward for her! Like many dogs recovering from fear and uncertainty, her journey will likely take several more months of patience, consistency, and love to help her build the confidence she deserves. We are letting KitKat move at her own pace, celebrating every victory, and showing her that the world isn't such a scary place after all. We'll continue sharing updates as this brave girl learns to trust and heal.

Training & Support
KitKat is potty trained and learning to walk on a leash and harness. While a dog may be observed as housebroken, accidents can happen during the transition to a new home. Establishing a consistent potty training routine is recommended to help create new habits and support successful integration.

- Once your application is submitted, our adoption coordinator will contact you to complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic).
- Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.
