Meet Knight!
Knight is a handsome 50-pound Aussie mix with the most captivating mismatched eyes, a heart full of sweetness, and a spirit that shines even brighter because he's a tripod! He might have three legs, but he's got all the love and energy to spare. Knight is a resilient boy who's ready to embrace life with gusto.
He can be a bit shy when he first meets new people, especially men, but his caution melts away quickly once he feels safe and secure. Knight is sensitive about his head and neck being touched initially, so he'll thrive with adopters who understand the importance of building trust before reaching out to pet him. He just needs a little time to acclimate to new faces, places, and experiences, and you'll soon discover his incredibly sweet, friendly, and playful nature. Shelter stress has made it a little hard for him to fully show off his personality right now, but we know it's in there!
Knight shows interest in other dogs and seems to want to play, though he sometimes backs off when another dog engages. We believe he'd truly enjoy canine companionship and would do best with a gentle, respectful dog friend who can offer friendship without being too rough.
Ideal Home
Knight would be happiest in a home with a physically fenced yard for safe exploration and a one-level living space to make daily movement easier on his body. He needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep his body and bright mind happy. He's a smart boy who loves having things to do and thrives with outlets for play and enrichment. While he's generally good with dogs, he'd prefer a gentle companion. He's shown mild interest in cats, so a dog-savvy or independent cat would likely be a good fit. Older, respectful children who can allow him to adjust at his own pace would be wonderful.

Knight is a tripod and will need a home that supports his long-term well-being.
Training & Support
Knight can be shy and sensitive about his head and neck initially. Patience and understanding as he builds trust are key. He enjoys having things to do and benefits from mental stimulation.
