DUNCAN

Duncan is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old boy who weighs about 19 lbs. He's a typical multi-breed mix with a lot of Chihuahua in him! Duncan loves to play with his squeaky toys, enjoys receiving lots of petting and attention, and is generally a quiet and well-behaved companion. He seems to be pretty good with house training and walking on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more practice. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Duncan would do best in a home without children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has undergone treatment according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. It's common for dogs to test negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza, and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

While Duncan is generally well-behaved and has some house-training, he could use a bit more work on leash manners and general training to build his confidence.

Duncan is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. The adoption fee includes transportation, and he can be transported to his new home.
