Meet Hensley! This beautiful shy queen is looking for that special person that understands a pup who just needs a bit more time to blossom and trust. That means that she has an incredibly loyal and devoted bond to give to her new family or person. She would be a great addition to a home with other dog(s), especially other confident pups that will help her continue to learn this "how to dog" business.

Happy Little Rescue, located in Grand Junction, Colorado, is a unique animal shelter. Our dogs spend their days frolicking in an open play area with the other dogs, and therefore have a good level of dog-dog socialization.

We prefer to adopt our animals locally, but are open to discussing out-of-state adoptions for our longer-term residents, or harder-to-place pets.
