Niko

Hi there! I'm Niko, a handsome 3.5-year-old, 72lb Black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. I was rescued from doggy death row and am incredibly grateful for a second chance at finding my forever home. I'm young at heart and love to play with toys and chew bones. Water is my absolute favorite thing, so if you have a lake, river, or even just a sprinkler, I'm there! I'm also an explorer at heart and would love activities like hiking or camping with my new family. I'm a snuggly and affectionate guy with my people and am generally well-behaved around the house.

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home with a nice, fenced yard where I can explore to my heart's content and relax in the sunshine. While I get along well with other dogs, especially puppies, I do get a little too excited around cats, so a cat-free home would be best for me. I get a bit nervous in crowded public places like stores, but I'd love a big park or a less crowded space for our outings.

Ongoing Health

I'm up-to-date on all core vaccinations and have been spayed. I'm also microchipped.

Training & Support

I'm a good boy, but I can get a little too excited around cats. I'm not very food-motivated, but I love a good adventure and exploring new places. Nose work activities would be fantastic for me!

I'm currently located in South Texas and can be transported to my new home. Our organization delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia.
