Ridge is an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a hoarding situation, and remarkably, he’s emerged from it sunny and social! He’s playful, outgoing, and genuinely happy to be here. Ridge loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and is also good with cats. While he’s still a puppy, he’s a large and opinionated one who is growing into an even larger, opinionated adult. His adopter will need to understand the Anatolian Shepherd breed and be prepared to provide him with consistent structure.
Ridge is not a shy or withdrawn dog. He’s decided life is excellent, dogs are fun, people are great, cats are acceptable, and the Roomba is a mysterious floor creature that should be viewed with extreme caution.
Because he is young, large, and still mastering his coordination and impulse control, we recommend a home with children over 10 years old. He will also need a securely fenced yard. This dog is not suited for apartment living or a casual leash-walking-only lifestyle. Potential adopters should understand that an Anatolian Shepherd is a very large breed, and Ridge is already tall and still growing.
Ridge is a wonderful young dog who is social, funny, and friendly with dogs and cats. He is ready for a home that will provide him with guidance, clear boundaries, plenty of space to play, and the opportunity to blossom into the good boy he is well on his way to becoming. Bonus points if your vacuum cleaner stays tucked away and your Roomba has already come to terms with its existence!
