Lucy is a survivor with the gentlest soul, a 3-year-old, 70lb lady who is currently on a diet to help her live her best life. She spent her entire life surviving on the streets before finally being rescued. Through heat, hunger, and storms, she somehow never lost her love for people. Even while struggling to survive herself, Lucy still chose kindness every single time. She is incredibly smart – the kind of smart that makes you stop and stare in disbelief. Lucy watches everything, learns quickly, understands routines almost immediately, and seems to read human emotions better than most people do. Despite everything she has been through, Lucy remains gentle, affectionate, and deeply connected to people. She is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and has a calm, soulful presence that makes everyone around her fall in love with her. Now spayed and finally safe, Lucy is ready for the part of life she never got to experience: being someone’s cherished dog instead of just surviving another day on the streets. Lucy deserves soft beds, full bowls, quiet mornings, and a family who will show her that love can stay forever.
