Aura

Aura is a beautiful, shy girl who has blossomed beautifully during her time with us. She came to us very fearful and undersocialized, but with the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers, she has learned to trust and even enjoys meeting new people. Aura absolutely adores her canine companions and has even had successful shelter breaks with a familiar handler and their dog. Her leash manners are improving daily, and she is a gentle soul who takes treats delicately. Aura is house-trained, provided she's given regular potty breaks, and she loves to spend time in a yard, especially with her favorite squeaky toys! She's also content to relax on a raised bed and bask in the sunshine. Aura is an independent lady who appreciates gentle pets when she's feeling social.

Ideal Home

Aura is looking for a kind and patient family who will allow her to set her own pace. A home with another dog would be wonderful, and adopters willing to visit her several times to build trust before adoption will help her feel most secure.

Ongoing Health

Aura is a healthy young dog with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Aura is house-trained and has good treat-taking manners. Continued positive reinforcement and patience will help her continue to build confidence.

Aura is located at our Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626. We also have a satellite location at the Red Poppy Adoptique, 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626. Transport can be discussed upon adoption.
