Abigail

Meet Abigail, a charming 6-year-old Bluetick Coonhound who found herself in a shelter during a storm. She's been with a foster family for a month and has truly blossomed, making herself right at home. Abigail is quite communicative; she's learned to ring the doorbell for walks or car rides, a delightful quirk that's part of her unique charm.

She's a true people-dog, loving everyone she meets. Abigail happily cuddles with adults and is comfortable around older children. She's even been around kids aged 10 and up without any issues, and she's content to nap (loudly, as is the Bluetick way!) on the couch.

Ideal Home

Abigail would thrive in a home that can offer plenty of routine, extra car rides, and couch naps. She needs a patient household that will comfort her during storms, as she gets nervous. She prefers to be the only dog in the home and is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Abigail is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is currently working on house training.

Training & Support

Abigail is crate trained and has figured out how to use a bell system to signal her needs. She does pull on the leash when excited but settles well once a consistent routine is established.
