Wilma

Meet Wilma! This precious 6-year-old girl came to us after her previous owners could no longer care for her. Wilma came with a few health concerns: untreated chronic dry eye causing severe vision loss, arthritis in her back legs, and a skin infection likely from fleas. We've started her on daily eye drops to help with irritation and discomfort, and while they won't restore her sight, they'll ensure her comfort. Her skin is healing well thanks to medicated baths and antibiotics.

Wilma is a sweetheart who relies on people and other dogs to help her navigate new environments. She's a loving girl who still gets zoomies like a puppy and has so much love to give!

Ideal Home

We are seeking a slower-paced home with children over 12 years old, as her vision loss means she can be easily startled. A fenced yard is a must, providing her a safe space to explore and enjoy her zoomies.

Ongoing Health

Wilma has chronic dry eye that requires lifelong daily eye drops for comfort. She is also being treated for arthritis in her back legs. Her skin is recovering well from a previous infection.

Training & Support

Wilma uses people and other dogs as her guides when she's in new surroundings.
