Koby

Koby is a sweet, gentle, and slightly shy 14-year-old Pomeranian mix with a unique look and a heart full of love. He came to us from a rural shelter and is now decompressing in our care, ready for a loving home to spoil him in his golden years. Koby gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being held. Despite a past encounter with another dog that left him with a permanent scar on his back where fur no longer grows, Koby remains a friendly and loving boy with so much potential. We are currently working with our veterinarians to evaluate and address any other health concerns, and we will provide updates as soon as they are available. We promised Koby that the rest of his life would be the best of his life, and we hope you can make that promise a reality for him.

Ongoing Health

Koby has a permanent patch of scar tissue on his back where fur will not grow, a result of a past dog attack. He is currently undergoing veterinary evaluation for other health points mentioned to us, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Training & Support

Koby is still decompressing in our care, and we are learning more about his needs. He is described as gentle and shy, and will likely benefit from a patient and understanding approach as he adjusts to his new home.

Transportation

Koby is located in South Carolina and is transported to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. Local or virtual meet-and-greets are available with an application on file.
