Novella is a 4-month-old female Border Collie with a seal coat. She's spunky, bubbly, and curious about the world, always ready for an adventure. Novella is a bright spark who is guaranteed to brighten your worst days. She loves to explore and is a natural at making her own fun. While she has plenty of drive and spunk, she also loves to give and receive kisses and snuggles. She enjoys tummy rubs and will happily flop over for a good belly scratch. Novella is eager to make friends with everyone she meets, including other dogs and especially kitties. She is the last remaining puppy from the Storybound litter and is looking for a very special home.
Ideal Home
Novella requires a home that is open to a guardianship with a breeder who is deeply invested in her puppy's lives. You must live within 15-20 minutes of Brooklyn Center, MN, with no plans to relocate further than 30-40 minutes away. She needs a home that will train her using force-free methods, with absolutely no e-collars, prong collars, or invisible fences. You must also be willing to house an intact female who will experience heat cycles but may not be bred.
Ongoing Health
Novella will receive proper vaccinations and deworming before going to her new home. She will also undergo vet checks and receive necessary health care. Her guardian will be responsible for sharing health screening costs, such as OFAs, eye, and cardiac exams. Her guardian will cover day-to-day and general expenses, while the breeder will cover food, supplements, and needs when she is with them, as well as entry fees and health screenings when the breeder is handling her.
Training & Support
Novella's guardian must be willing to let the breeder train and handle her in the Bred-by-Exhibitor class in conformation up to her championship, which includes weekends away and travel for shows. You must also be willing to let the breeder train and compete with her if you do not have your own goals for her as a sport and herding dog. Novella's guardian must feed at least a partial raw or fresh food diet.
