Murphy

Murphy is a striking 40 lb boy with the most incredible icy blue eyes and the softest fur you've ever felt! He's about 3-4 years old and has always lived with other dogs, which has helped him gain confidence. Murphy is curious about the world and craves affection. He can be a little shy and anxious when meeting new people, so he'll need a family that understands and allows him to warm up at his own pace. He loves his crate and is learning to be a gentleman, though he can get excited and gently jump or nibble when showing his love. He's about 85% housetrained and enjoys his outdoor walks and practicing leash manners. More than anything, Murphy wants to be near his person.

Murphy needs a calm, quiet, and predictable home with a fenced yard to feel safe and thrive. He also needs a canine buddy to help him feel more confident.

Training & Support

Murphy is working on housetraining (about 85% there) and leash manners. He can be a little jumpy and nibbly when excited, so patience and positive reinforcement will be key as he learns to ask for affection politely.
