Meet Juice, a handsome and affectionate 4-year-old neutered Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs around 56 lbs. Juice, also known as Joey by his foster, is a charming boy with soulful eyes who's ready to find a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe and be someone's whole world. He enjoys quiet time with his person, showing his affection with gentle head and paw rests – his own special love language. Juice can be a bit shy with new people, but with slow, gentle introductions, he builds trust and becomes deeply loyal.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a quiet home with patient, soft-spoken adults who understand that healing takes time. He is not a "problem dog," but a sensitive soul who needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. A home without cats is required, as he will chase them. He would also be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can receive all the attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, which has been managed by feeding him separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, but this is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness; harsh corrections can make him cower. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, and he sleeps well in his crate at night. He has had some potty accidents, but this may improve with a stable routine. He may need some assistance getting into a car, but he always enjoys a ride!

- Transports run every few weeks, and approved dogs will be on the next available transport. If you cannot accept a dog until a specific time, please apply then.
- We are a volunteer-run rescue, and our time is donated to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
