Hi, I'm Xena! I'm a 3-year-old, 75lb Malinois Mix with a heart full of cuddles. My previous owner had to move and couldn't bring me along, but they say I'm a wonderful companion who just needs a little extra attention due to my breed. I love to play and thrive with consistent exercise and mental stimulation.

Ideal Home

I'm a big fan of kids and dogs, and I get along great with them! If you have other dogs, please introduce us in a neutral, open setting so we can become fast friends. I haven't lived with cats before, so that would be a new adventure! I am house-trained and love grooming – I'm happy to let you brush my fur, my teeth, and trim my nails.

Training & Support

I'm a smart cookie and know how to sit, stay, down, off, guard, and shake. I even wait for a command before eating my food! I get a little excited and tend to jump when I'm happy, but with consistency, I'll learn to keep all four paws on the floor. While I'm house-trained, I do experience anxiety in crates due to past shelter experiences. With proper guidance and training, I'm confident I can overcome this and learn to feel secure in a crate. I'm very driven by toys and treats, which makes training a fun experience!
