Roxie

Roxie is a pint-sized powerhouse of intelligence and agility! This 7-pound Miniature Pinscher, born on August 22, 2022, is a master escape artist who can open doors, boxes, and containers, and has a knack for climbing and getting through openings. Don't let her Houdini-like tendencies fool you; Roxie is also a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and will happily join a puppy pile for naptime. She observes everything with intelligent eyes and is always planning her next move, but a good cuddle session can always bring her back to earth.

Ideal Home

Roxie needs an active and intelligent family who can keep up with her and provide mental stimulation. Because she is so small and agile, a secure, privacy-fenced yard (6' fence required) is a must. Given her escape artistry, this home should be experienced in managing clever pups. She would do well with responsible teens.

Ongoing Health

Roxie had a double break in her front leg that has now healed beautifully, with two vets uncertain if she would regain full use. She now has normal use of her leg! All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. Some are vaccinated for Bordetella. All are tested for heartworms and treated if necessary. They receive monthly heartworm and flea prevention, and additional medical care as needed.

Training & Support

Roxie is ready to learn anything! She is highly intelligent and needs a family who can help her channel her energy into healthy activities, work on her self-control, and continue her education. She would be an excellent candidate for agility training or search and rescue, thanks to her excellent nose and drive.

Transporation

Roxie is located in the Raleigh, NC area. Adoptive homes within one hour of Raleigh are preferred.
