Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku and Kasumi are a bonded pair of seniors who have been together through thick and thin for over a decade. They were their previous owner's pride and joy, documented in a stack of holiday photo cards spanning ten years. Sadly, when their owner's health declined, they were surrendered to a shelter, their holiday spirit dimmed.

When separated, Kamoku, a 14-year-old, 17 lb Dachshund mix, lost his appetite, and Kasumi, a 5-year-old, 38 lb (goal weight 22 lbs) Cairn Terrier mix, cried incessantly. Their bond is undeniable, and they are seeking a home where they can continue to share their days together. As a pair, they are mellow, affectionate, and coexist peacefully with other dogs, cats, and children.

Ideal Home

Kamoku and Kasumi will need to be adopted together. They are affectionate with people and do well with other pets and children.

Ongoing Health

Kamoku is 14 years old and Kasumi is 5 years old. They have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Kamoku and Kasumi are described as mellow and affectionate when together. They are also noted as being house-trained.

Transporation

Kamoku and Kasumi are currently fostered in Brooklyn, NY. They are available for local adoption, and out-of-state adopters are welcome as long as they can travel to meet the pair.
