Artie is a 3-year-old, 32-pound Terrier mix who is as fun-loving as she is energetic! This smart, playful, and affectionate girl is always ready for an adventure, whether it's a game of fetch, a run in the yard, or just zooming around the house with her favorite toys. Artie absolutely adores people and greets everyone she meets with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She's independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, guaranteed to make you laugh every day while keeping you active and then happily snuggling up beside you.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and would do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion and has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are always important. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, settling well in her crate for short periods. She rides great in the car and handles stairs with no problem. She can be a little on edge and protective of her toys initially but quickly backs off and recognizes when another dog is done playing. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. Artie is curious and can get into things on counters if unsupervised, so she should continue to be crated when left alone. Her ideal home would be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.
