Oso Burrito Boy

Oso is a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Hound mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. He doesn't give his affection away easily, but when he chooses you, he becomes your most devoted companion. His foster mom is his favorite person, and watching him light up when she enters the room is truly magical. His tail wags, his whole body softens, and this gentle, quiet boy transforms into the sweetest love bug you've ever met. He enjoys pets, leans in for affection, and will remind you daily of his adoration. Oso is a low-maintenance, low-energy dog who dreams of a comfy nap spot, leisurely walks, occasional car rides, and his favorite people nearby. He has mastered the art of relaxation.

Ideal Home

Oso is easygoing with other animals and has excellent canine manners. He lives peacefully with other dogs and is content to coexist without needing to be the center of attention. He would be happy as your one and only companion or with dog friends. Oso showed promise with cats, minding his own business and giving them space. He is cautious and can be a bit shy when meeting new people or in unfamiliar situations. He appreciates being allowed to move at his own pace and needs patience, kindness, and tasty treats to help his personality bloom.

Transportation

Oso is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
