Bella is an amazing Staffordshire Terrier whose favorite things are snuggling and being close to her person. She is incredibly people-oriented and thrives on affection and companionship. She originally lived with her brother but was surrendered to the SPCA when their family moved. After spending time in a caring foster home, Bella was attacked by another dog. Since then, she has been understandably alert and fearful around other dogs and would do best as the only pet where she can feel safe and relaxed. Bella has wonderful manners and loves being with her people. She enjoys her daily walks and walks well on leash—though she may break into a happy little “tap dance” when she spots a squirrel or cat. One of her favorite outings is a trip to Three Dog Bakery, where she happily picks out a treat and soaks up the attention. Every morning she flops onto her back and wiggles in celebration of a brand-new day—it’s guaranteed to make you smile. She gives the best “flea kisses,” loves to cuddle, and will gently hug your hand when you come home. Bella enjoys chewing on bones, watching birds and squirrels (and adorably trying to figure out how to climb a tree), and would make a fantastic travel companion—she loves car rides and would happily be your ride-or-die for RV adventures. She has a mild fear of fireworks and will need extra comfort during loud celebrations. Bella cannot be crated, but she is doggy-door trained, has excellent potty and urinary control, and is respectful in the home. More than anything, she wants a safe place and a person to love.
