Sorry no more apps Peggy. 2 lbs and fast

My name is Peggy, and I'm a 2-pound, purebred long-haired mini Dachshund with a whole lot of personality packed into my tiny frame! I'm as adorable and sweet as can be, with a funny streak and a speed that can only be described as lightning-fast. I love everyone I meet, but I do need a special kind of home because I'm so small and delicate. I'm the kind of pup you need to shuffle your feet around to avoid accidentally stepping on me, and while I'm not making that up, it's just how I am! My right back leg has a bit of a story, which you can see in my pictures.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home without toddlers, any cats who aren't the friendliest, or dogs who haven't learned their manners. My delicate size means I could get hurt easily, so a calm and understanding environment is essential. Please ensure any upcoming vacations are out of the way before applying to adopt me, as I'll be ready for my new home anytime!

Ongoing Health

I've had a thorough vet check, including an X-ray of my leg, and I'm up-to-date on vaccinations with a clean fecal exam. All my vet paperwork will come with me. Due to my young age and small size (just 2 lbs!), I'm too young to be spayed, so this will need to be discussed with my potential new owner.

Training & Support

I'm not yet house-trained, so my new family will need to be prepared to help me learn.

Transportation

I am located in Antwerp, Ohio. Transportation is available every other Wednesday morning to Maumee if needed. Approved families are always welcome in Antwerp, Ohio.
