Get in a truck and come say aw' shucks for our new plucky fellow Chuck! Chuck is a 4-month-old male Great Pyrenees puppy who, along with his papa, was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. From there, he was transferred to us, which we consider a stroke of good luck for Chuck! He's now in a foster home where he can settle in, grow, and learn all the good boy tricks. As he matures and his personality continues to emerge, we'll share more updates on his story.
Ideal Home
We're seeking homes experienced with giant breeds for Chuck.
Ongoing Health
Puppies under 12 months of age are too young to be spayed/neutered. Chuck will be adopted out on a special puppy spay/neuter agreement with a $50 refundable deposit. The adopting family must agree to have him altered within two weeks of his first birthday (or when his growth plates close) and send proof of the procedure to us. Please be aware that adoption fees for purebred puppies are a minimum of $700, with additional costs for spay/neuter.
Training & Support
Raising a puppy requires a significant time commitment and financial investment. Crate training and potty training are crucial for success. Puppies can only be in a crate for a maximum of 4 hours and need to be let outside about every hour when you're home. Regular exercise and mentally stimulating chew toys, such as puzzle toys, Kongs, and Busy Buddy toys, are essential. Socialization during the first six months is critical for development. Once fully vaccinated, take your puppy everywhere to expose them to new people, dogs, and different environments. Obedience training is also extremely important and is a requirement of our adoption agreement to ensure your puppy grows into a gentle giant.
