Kaida's name means "little dragon," and it suits her perfectly! She's a spirited, brave girl full of personality and a true survivor. When Kaida first came to us, she was facing a difficult situation due to shelter overcrowding, not because of any fault of her own. While we don't know all the details of her past, it's clear she missed out on crucial early socialization and learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. But since joining our rescue, Kaida has been blossoming! With patience, structure, and positive experiences, her true, happy, and playful personality has emerged. She adores her people, craves attention and affection, and loves being part of the action. Kaida also enjoys the company of other dogs who can match her energetic play style. She's crate trained, smart, and eager to learn, making her a joy to train with clear guidance and consistency.
Ideal Home
Kaida thrives in a home that offers structure, patience, and consistency. She'll do best in a calmer environment where she can relax and feel secure, as busy and chaotic situations can cause her to become overstimulated and reactive. Dog parks are not her happy place. She needs a family who will advocate for her and avoid overwhelming situations.
Ongoing Health
Kaida is a healthy, young dog.
Training & Support
Kaida is currently working on her basic obedience skills and wants to do the right thing. She can become reactive when overstimulated, so continued positive reinforcement training is key. Her confidence is still building, and she connects deeply with her handler's energy. If you believe in her, encourage her, and show her she is safe, she blossoms.
