Aquarius

Hi there! My name is Aquarius, and I'm an 8-month-old female Chow Chow/Newfoundland mix, eagerly awaiting my forever home at the Santa Barbara Campus!

Resilient, loyal, and sensitive – these are just a few words that describe me. I'm a true Chow, meaning I'll pick my person and make them the absolute center of my universe. Prepare for soul-gazing loyalty and a constant shadow following you around! I'm happiest when I'm curled up at my person's feet or playing with my doggy pals. True to my breed, I can be a bit shy when first meeting new people. It might take a few visits for me to feel comfortable and show you my playful side. I'd do best with a patient adopter who can show me the world isn't so scary and who doesn't mind a big, furry shadow! While I'm timid with new humans, I absolutely LOVE other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine companion to learn from, though it's not a requirement. I've previously lived with young children and have decided that for my next adventure, I'd prefer a home without them – a little too much noise for my sensitive soul!

Ideal Home

I'd love a patient adopter who understands I can be shy initially. A home with another confident dog would be a bonus! I'd prefer to be in a home without young children.

Ongoing Health

I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to my new home. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic, and I'll go home with a supply of food from our partners at Hills Science Diet.

Training & Support

I can be shy with new people, so patience and multiple visits will help me warm up.
