Hi, I’m Mini — and yes, the name is a little misleading. I’m almost 2.5 years old now, and I’m a Great Dane / Pit Bull / Mastiff mix, so I’m definitely more “majestic” than mini. I love being outside when the weather is nice and would happily spend my days enjoying fresh air instead of lounging in front of the TV. I came into rescue with 17 siblings of various ages after a family emergency made it impossible for our humans to keep all of us together. We had lived our entire lives in the country, so leaving our home was overwhelming. Two of us were especially scared when we ended up in a shelter for the first time — it was loud and unfamiliar, and we just froze. Thankfully, a kind rescue volunteer stepped in and brought us to safety. Since then, I’ve been slowly coming out of my shell. It’s taken me a little longer than my sister, who has already found her forever home, but I’m making progress every day. When my foster comes home from work and lets me outside, I’m so happy that I don’t want to go back in — I just want to relax in the yard and enjoy the world around me. I previously lived with young children, but I’m a big girl and want to be honest: I could accidentally bump into little humans simply because of my size. I’m best described as shy at first. I haven’t met a lot of people, so I like to take my time watching and getting to know you before I decide you’re “my person.” With patience and kindness, that shyness fades, and I warm up more quickly than you might expect. If you’re someone who enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, and understands that trust can take a little time, we might be a perfect match.
Ideal Home
I would love a home with someone who enjoys being active and spending time outdoors. Due to my size, a home with very small children might not be the best fit as I could accidentally bump into them.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned.
Training & Support
I am a bit shy when first meeting new people, and it takes me some time to warm up and build trust. Patience and kindness will go a long way in helping me feel comfortable.
