PIPPI

Meet Pippi, a lovely 12-pound Shih Tzu mix who is about 1 to 2 years old. Pippi found herself at the Chesterfield South LA shelter because her previous family no longer had time for her. Initially, she was very scared and reactive to her surroundings, but with a little time and patience, her true, affectionate personality is shining through! She enjoys playing with toys and even plays fetch. Pippi is generally quiet but will gently nudge you for attention when she needs some love. She's a smart girl who is eager to trust and bond with her new family.

Ideal Home

Pippi would thrive in a home that can offer her patience, unconditional love, and gentle affection as she continues to adjust. A home with a yard would be ideal, as she is still learning about outdoor potty routines and is currently doing very well on potty pads. An active lifestyle would suit her well, and while she might do best with older children or no children, her adaptability is promising.

Pippi is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Pippi was not properly socialized and may need a little time to understand new people and situations. She is responsive to kindness and is learning quickly. Continued positive reinforcement will help her blossom.
