Gunner from TEXAS

Gunner is a goofy, happy 3-year-old male black-and-tan hound mix who weighs around 50 pounds. Rescued from a rural small-town dog pound, he is affectionate, playful, and loves human attention, toys, treats, couch naps, and playing with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Gunner enjoys relaxing indoors in air conditioning, especially during hot Texas days. He loves playing and wrestling with dog friends, but he barks at squirrels, people, other dogs, and cats he sees in the neighborhood. He may also counter-surf and raid unsecured garbage, so secure cabinets and supervision are important.

Ongoing Health

Gunner is neutered, tattooed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated against DAPPvL2, Bordetella, and rabies. He was treated for heartworms, is now heartworm-negative, and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Gunner is crate-trained and enters his crate when asked. He obeys, comes when called, walks on a leash, rides well in a vehicle, sits for treats, and tolerates baths well.
