Gunner is a delightful 3-year-old, 50-pound black and tan hound mix with a heart full of love and a dash of playful mischief. He was rescued from a rural dog pound and has blossomed into a well-behaved and affectionate companion. Gunner is crate-trained, comes when called, and enjoys car rides. He's a champ at bath time, loves to play with toys and other dogs, and is always ready for a good snuggle on the couch. Being a hound, Gunner has a keen interest in squirrels and will alert you to passersby, other animals, and anything else that catches his eye. He's also known to team up with his pals for a bit of counter-surfing and trash-can exploration if the opportunity arises! Gunner is a true testament to the goofy, happy hound spirit.
Ideal Home
Gunner loves to be inside and cool, especially during hot Texas days. He enjoys indoor lounging and playtime with his canine friends, but he's ready to head back inside to the air conditioning after quick outdoor excursions.
Ongoing Health
Gunner is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He has completed heartworm treatment and is now heartworm-negative. He receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
Gunner is a great listener and obeys commands. He does have typical hound behaviors such as barking at things he sees and counter-surfing. He also has a knack for getting into the garbage if cabinets aren't secured.
