About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, currently weighing 45 lbs, and expected to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that brings daily laughter. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo and celebrates with joyful zoomies when discovered. She's deeply people-oriented, a quiet shadow who loves to be near her humans, offering affection through gentle puppy kisses or a comforting paw. Coraline has a calm, balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion, content to entertain herself quietly. She's social with people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before returning to play or explore. Coraline is the perfect mix of playful and laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – a true sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline thrives in a home that embraces both adventure and relaxation. She'll enjoy leisurely walks, short play sessions in the yard, or joining longer hikes and beach trips. She'd benefit from a family that understands she's still gaining confidence in busy public areas but has the potential to be a great outdoor companion with more socialization. She would absolutely adore a family that includes her in outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. A fenced yard is a must for her to run and play. No apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas. She needs to have another dog in her forever home, as she thrives with canine companionship. She could happily live with older children and cats. She needs her human home more often than not, but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in our care.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still mastering leash training and needs extra practice to boost her confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts her foster when she needs to go outside and can use a doggy door. She does need to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially and kept on a consistent schedule. Using a doggy doorbell is recommended if you don't have a doggy door.
